When you visit Angelosity you are greeted with the sweet pink floral banner and the smiling photo of Angel and her husband (I’m assuming). The blog loads quickly without much distraction in the sidebar. Angel is on the design team for Our Daily Bread Designs and her blog posts showcase her creative projects to include cards, projects and sketches. The photos are clear and show the details of her work.

You know what I love about her blog….here are a couple things:

1. Angel lists her supplies below her projects. Have you ever seen something posted online and thought, “Wow, I really like that!” Then you drive yourself crazy trying to track down that perfect product.

I admit, I’ve been meaning to add the supply lists for my projects I post. So I give Angel major props for going the extra mile for her readers!

2. The contest is easy peasy to enter. Come on, you’ve seen those contests that make you jump through hoops just to enter. That’s not the way Angelosity runs their contests. All you have to do is create a project and post it to your blog, upload it to the gallery or email it. Oh, you can also enter by commenting on the blog. Sheesh! That’s easier than buying a coffee at Starbucks!

How Long Have They Been Around?

Dixie Pieces is turning 1 this November. In fact, they are having a Big Birthday Bash right now! By Big Birthday Bash I mean challenges, games, tutorials and prizes.

When Are New Kits Released?

The beginning of the month with sneak peeks posted around the 24th or 25th.

What Is the Price For This Kit?

$28.00 is the price for the kit without a subscription.
3-month subscription is $26.00 per month.
6 and 12-month subscription is $24.00 per month.

What Are the Kit Contents?

October’s kit contained:
9 sheets of patterned paper
5 sheets of cardstock
Embellishments galore - chipboard alphas, cutouts, ribbon, etc.

Yes! The forum can be read even if you aren’t registered. It is active with lots of friendly conversation!

Design Team

Are There Add Ons?

The add ons include products and there was even a prior mini album kit and the prices seem to be $10 or less. (I checked out what they had available in the store. So it is possible that there have been other add on kits that I just can’t see now)

What are Shipping Costs?

Dixie Pieces charges actual shipping. I know, wow, right?! They ship via USPS Priority but they also offer you USPS First Class if you are willing to wait and want to save a little bit on shipping.

Also, they do offer international shipping also at actual postage costs.

When Are Kits Shipped?

Paper kits are mailed within 48 hours of the purchase, and the digital kits are available for immediate download.

What I Like About this Kit

First off, communication with Dixie Pieces is very good! I contacted them through their website and I received a response within the time frame they stated it would take. I was writing with questions and even though I am not a subscriber they still took the time write a friendly and detailed response. If they are willing to be this for me then I think it is safe to assume they will go the extra mile for their subscribers. I know that for communication and customer service is a top priority and Dixie Pieces is top in that regard.

If you are looking for an active and friendly group of scrapbookers then you really should check out the forum at Dixie Pieces. You do not have to be a subscriber to view or register for the forums. The design team (as well as other members) are active on the forums.

Come on, you couldn’t ask for better shipping options. They also offer some additional products in the store that you can add to your purchase and imagine how much you will save in shipping costs alone by shopping at Dixie Pieces.
